If you somehow thought that picking up the Windows Phone-based Nokia Lumia 900 for a hundred bucks on AT&T was still too expensive, maybe this’ll do: AT&T has posted a page for the Samsung Focus 2, a WP7-based phone that features 4G LTE capability for $50 with a two-year contract.
Other features include a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a WVGA resolution and VGA camera up front and a five-megapixel snapper with 720p recording at the back, packed in a fairly compact 122-gram phone that measures only 11mm thick.
Probably not the most desirable Windows-based phone in the market once it starts shipping, but you can’t ignore the value. A 4-inch smartphone with a 5MP snapper and 4G LTE support for fifty bucks? Not bad at all.
The Samsung Focus 2 will be out on May 20, and will only be available in glossy pure white.
