Earlier rumors that mention a third ‘Droid Incredible’ phone arriving at Verizon has been confirmed. Not by the usual insider source or by a leaked document (the way Verizon’s upcoming stuff usually gets revealed), but by Verizon itself after an official page for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE went up on the Droid Does site. The page has since been taken down, but clearly not fast enough.
So here’s what just got accidentally revealed: the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE basically looks like a modded version of the HTC One S. Okay, it doesn’t actually look like the One S, but it sure does feature the same spec.
According to the page, the 3rd Droid Incredible will feature a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, a 4-inch qHD SuperLCD screen, as well as the same Android 4.0 operating system and Sense 4 interface. It’ll also be featuring the same two integrated cameras, with a VGA cam up front and an 8MP rear camera, likely with the same quick-shooting HTC ImageSense image processor that’s on the rest of HTC’s 2012 premium smartphones.
While the page didn’t give any clues regarding a launch date, it did reveal a price. It’s going to cost $299 on a contract, which is pretty par for the course for a high-end phone on Verizon. The pricing could still be changed by the time it becomes official, though. Probably a good idea since AT&T is offering the higher-end HTC One X for $200.
