Lenovo has pulled the covers off their next IdeaTab slate and showed off the IdeaTab S2109 in a preview “tour” video. The video pretty much covered the tablet’s full spec and details – or the important ones, at least – so here’s what to expect.
The IdeaTab S2109 will feature an 8.9mm-thick frame with a unibody shell, fronted by an IPS display and 1.3MP front camera. It didn’t show any rear cameras, but the back side will feature SRS sound and four speakers for entertainment. Multiple ports will be available around the edges, including microSD, micro HDMI, and microUSB for connectivity. The video also confirmed that it’s going to ship with Android 4.0, with support for Voice Actions for Android, as well as Google Play and the Lenovo App Shop for downloading more than 450,000 apps.
No word on a screen size (it’s likely a 9.7-incher) or the processor, but if it’s anything like the IdeaTab S2 that Lenovo brought to CES, then it could come powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 chip when it arrives. The video didn’t mention pricing or availability.
