A recent leak has revealed an unannounced LG smartphone labeled as the Optimus LTE P936. First spotted going through the FCC, a source handed a prototype of the device to GSMDome, who ran it through Quadrant benchmarks.
The phone will run on a 1.5GHz ARM v7 processor, a touch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, and an 8MP camera at the back that’s capable of recording HD video. The leaked unit runs on Android 2.3.6, but we expect it to arrive with Ice Cream Sandwich since the spec certainly looks good enough (the benchmarks show pretty good performance too). The P936 has also been described with a textured back and shape that resembles the Nitro HD.
This particular unit is a prototype that could still see changes, so it’s still not final. It’s also possible that the phone is meant for international markets, since LG already has the LTE-capable Nitro HD and Spectrum in the US.
