Motorola DROID Fighter turns up in leaked photo Moto Droid Fighter first leak

The mysterious “Droid Fighter” phone that has turned up in a couple of leaked Verizon documents finally turned up, thanks to a photo that got posted on Moto leak hotspot Phone HK. The single photo shows the phone’s front and back, giving us a rather rough first look at what Motorola has up their sleeves.

The image alone shows a phone that bears a lot of the DROID RAZR’s design language with a slim profile and angled edges, but with a major physical difference: the DROIID Fighter doesn’t have any of the touch buttons below the screen. The absence of the soft buttons could mean that the phone will feature on-screen buttons like the Galaxy Nexus, which can be hidden when running certain apps to give more screen space. The image also comes with a description that says “4.6-inch HD”, so it’s likely going to feature a 720p resolution.

The leak also mentions that the phone will run on a 3,300mAh battery, which is similar to the battery under the Droid RAZR MAXX’s hood. The Verizon badge at the back also makes it safe to assume that this phone is going to feature 4G LTE.

Pricing and availability wasn’t provided, but previously leaked Verizon documents point to an April 12 release date, likely arriving with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
