Element Case has put out the Vapor Dock, which is basically a simple charge-and-dock accessory for people who don’t really need elaborate speaker-with-a-clock features, but can appreciate something that’s simple, beautiful, and functional. Unlike Apple’s basic plastic iPhone dock, this thing is weighted for one-handed docking and pulling, thanks to a build made of precision machined aluminum.

While it basically does the same thing, the Vapor Dock also comes with a few more bonuses. The underside comes with space for winding a cable to keep your desk uncluttered, and features holes and machined air chambers up front to channel and amplify sound from the iPhone’s built-in speakers.

The rear of the case also holds in a pocket for storing an Ultrasuede insert for wiping the screen clean.

The Vapor Dock is available now for $120.

If you’re into simple docks with a premium feel, you might want to check out the Elevation Dock too. First announced as a Kickstarter project back in December, Elevation Lab has hit their funding target and has updated their Kickstarter page to show the dock’s full list of features. It’s due out in April for $120.
