EA Maxis has revealed plans to resurrect a PC gaming classic during their EA Game Changers event that’s got our old-school gaming bones excited: They’re going to be coming out with SimCity in 2013! (It’s actually the fifth in the series if you haven’t been counting, but it seems they’re going with the original title.) Probably not as flashy or as sexy as your newer Halos and Medal of Honor titles, but if you’re anywhere near the age of 30 and you’ve been playing PC games since DOS and Windows 3.1, this is huge.
We’re still a long way from 2013 though, so there’s still a lot to uncover, but they did reveal some interesting details, including “curvy roads,” which would be a new feature for the franchise, as well as a social aspect that puts your city beside your friends’ cities, allowing you to do some inter-city dealing.
