Nokia officially intros Mango powered Lumia 900 for North America Nokia Lumia 900Nokia has officially unveiled the Lumia 900, their first Windows Phone for the US market. Running on Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS (Mango update), the Lumia 900 is a step up from the Lumia 800 that the company unveiled in October, with 4G LTE support and a larger 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 ClearBlack AMOLED screen.

Some of the Lumia 800’s spec are still present on this phone, including the same 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor, and eight-megapixel camera with a 28mm f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash, but the Lumia 900 adds a front f/2.4 wide-angle lens for doing high-quality video chats via a Videocon app called “Tango.” For some reason, Microsoft won’t be including mobile Skype into this phone’s app bundle, which would have been handy. (Hopefully they’ll make it available soon).

The Lumia 900 also sports the same curved polycarbonate body design, but thanks to the larger screen, this phone looks slimmer. The rest of the spec includes 512MB of RAM, a 1840mAh battery that’s listed to offer up to 7 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby.

The phone is expected out in the US during the first quarter of 2012, and will be an AT&T exclusive. Pricing wasn’t revealed.
