Porsche Design BlackBerry P’9981 gets price, release date Porsche Design BlackBerry P9981 2The Porsche Design BlackBerry P’9981, or the best-looking BlackBerry we’ve ever seen so far, was just given pricing and release details in the UK – or at least for one store chain in the UK. It’s going to be available in Harrods “before the end of the month,” which we take to mean that it’s due out anytime now.

For the relatively steep price of £1,275 (or close to $2,000, converted) without carrier subsidies, the P’9981 packs a spec that’s similar to the Bold 9900, featuring a 1.2GHz processor, NFC tech, 8GB of internal storage, and a built-in cam that’s capable of recording 720p clips. It’s the external design that makes it desirable (and pricey) though. Thanks to RIM’s collaboration with Porsche Design, the phone is undeniably beautiful to look at and touch, featuring  a forged stainless steel frame, a leather back and sculpted QWERTY keys.
