Lenovo officially intros 5 inch LePad S2005 tablet Lenovo lepad S2005

Lenovo has finally launched the 5-inch Galaxy Note-looking tablet that was spotted in photos late last month. Called the LePad S2005, the device joins the Samsung Galaxy Note in the weird small-tablet-slash-huge-phone niche, for people who want a compact tablet that can fit in weirdly oversized pockets.

The LePad S2005 features an LTPS display with an 800 x 480 resolution that touts a wide 178-degree viewing angle. Running on Android 2.3, the petite LePad is powered by a zippy 1.2GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM, and features a five-megapixel cam at the back and a 1.3-megapixel webcam up front – all neatly packed into a tablet that measures 9.95mm thick and weighs 198 grams.

Connectivity options include HSPA+ along with Wi-fi and Bluetooth, and micro HDMI and USB ports are featured along the device’s edges for hooking up to an HD display or other devices.

Prices haven’t been revealed yet, but it has debuted in China, with no word on an international release yet.
