AT&T has added another high-end phone to their 4G LTE lineup by introducing the LG Nitro HD. It’s basically AT&T’s version of LG’s flagship Optimus LTE, so it packs in the same premium bits that include a 4.5-inch 720p display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and (again) 4G LTE support.
That 4.5-inch screen is what makes this phone pretty special; LG’s AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) LCD display packed into the Nitro HD has been tested to trump Samsung’s Super AMOLED screens with better color accuracy, power consumption and brightness.
Past the awesome screen, the phone also features an eight-megapixel cam at the back, a 1.3MP webcam up front, 4GB of built-in storage, and a microSDHC slot. The phone comes bundled with a 16GB card, for a total of 20GB of storage out of the box.
The Nitro HD will start shipping on December 4 for $250 with a contract.
