Nook Tablet vs Kindle Fire: which is more likely to survive your clumsiness? drop test kindle fire vs nook tablet

Here’s a little bit of horror for gadget geeks: a new site called Gizmoslip, which promises “the sickest reviews on the net,” delivers with something that can make budget-savvy shoppers a bit queasy (or just plain sick). The title says it all. Called the “Nook Tablet vs Kindle Fire Drop Test, the video involves the two said devices, a height meter, different surfaces, a rather sturdy camera (it’s a GoPro cam), and dudes who apparently don’t mind dropping perfectly working devices until one breaks (spoiler: the Nook outlasted the Kindle Fire after a few rounds). Video after the break.

Was it conclusive? We’re not sure. But we don’t think it’s something device owners wants to find out for themselves, and since we aren’t planning on repeatedly dropping any of our expensive gadgets to find out their breaking points, we’re going to have to go with this test’s result.

But if you’re a fan of these gadget-snuff videos (which includes BlendTec’s strangely popular “Will It Blend?” series, or that video where a couple of dudes turned an iPad into a skateboard), then we hope you were entertained, you sicko.
