Here’s a quick and easy way to add extra ports on your MacBook Air: InfiniWing’s LandingZone is a simple strip that adds power, monitor, Ethernet and four USB ports to Apple’s ultraslim. But the genius is in the design: the accessory features two “clamps” on each side that locks both the 11- or 13-inch Macbook Air into place with a push of the lever, while the dock itself keeps the Mac’s rear-end raised for more effective cooling.
AT&T has added another high-end phone to their 4G LTE lineup by introducing the LG Nitro HD. It’s basically AT&T’s version of LG’s flagship Optimus LTE, so it packs in the same premium bits that include a 4.5-inch 720p display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and (again) 4G LTE support.
Acer has introduced the Liquid Express, an entry level smartphone that rocks a 3.5-inch touchscreen and Android 2.3. The phone runs on an 800MHz Snapdragon processor and features a relatively average five-megapixel camera, but gets a little modern with NFC tech that can be used for short-range e-payments.
For something that’s basically a static chunk of billet aluminum with no built-in electronic bells and whistles, this is pretty interesting. Called the Wedge, ColorWare’s accessory is basically an iPad stand and nothing else. What makes it so interesting? Unlike a number of available fixed stands, the Wedge offers four different lean angles (40, 60, 70, 80 degrees) for your iPad – or any other tablet, really – thanks to the four different slots cut all around the base.
