The LG DoublePlay, the dual-screened, split keyboard-rocking Android slider that T-Mobile announced earlier this month, is probably one of the most intriguing upcoming phones that we know of. Not because it packs a particularly high-end spec, but because of the unique form factor. If you were waiting for T-Mo to release this, the date just slipped out. According to this leaked marketing screen, it’s due out on November 2nd.
Besides the all-important ship date, the leaked screen also spells out the phone’s details. In case you missed the launch, the DoublePlay is an Android 2.3-based slider that rocks a 3.5-inch primary screen, 2-inch secondary screen on the slide-out keyboard, 4G connectivity, a 5-megapixel cam with 720HD recording, and a 1500mAh battery.
The secondary screen is what makes the whole thing unique, giving you the ability to multitask – like check out status updates or messages – without having to leave whatever’s on the main screen.
