Slightly tweaked iPhone 4, iPod touch models spotted in Apple inventory system 8GB iPhone 4 slAn anonymous source gave out a few details into what Apple has up their sleeves for next week’s iPhone event. According to the source, Apple’s inventory had a few curious additions tagged as the iPod touch N81A, and an iPhone marked as the N90A.

So what should we expect? Probably not much if this is all they’re pulling out next week. The N90 codename refers to the iPhone 4, so the N90A could mean the same old iPhone 4 with a minor change. There have been rumors of a budget iPhone 4 with 8GB of memory going around, so this could be it. Good news for people looking to score a cheaper iPhone 4, but if you were something new, this likely won’t be it. This doesn’t mean that this is all there is though; there’s still that mysterious iPhone codenamed the “N94”, likely the all-new iPhone, to hold your breath for.

As for the entries for the new iPod touch, three models for an iPod touch codenamed the “N81A” was also spotted. Like the iPhone 4, it’s likely a minor change. Since the N81 referred to the fourth-gen iPod touch, the “A” suffix could mean a small tweak, possibly referring to white versions of the existing black iPod touch models, in the same 8GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.
