Klipsch has announced their first pair of earphones specifically designed to work with Android devices. Called the Image S4A, the earphones are compatible with devices running Android 2.1 or later, and features an in-line remote for controlling music and calls, but is made unique by the free companion Control App.
The Control App basically lets you configure how the earphones function during calls and music. The Image S4A can be set to answer and end calls, mute the mic, or redial a number. For music, the kit can be used to set volume and track controls. The inline mic can also be used for doing voice searches and voice commands.
As a regular pair of earphones for general audio, it’s a pretty good kit: the Klipsch Image S4A features noise isolation, dynamic moving coil micro speakers, a frequency response of 10Hz -19KHz, impedance of 18 ohm, and 100db SPL/mW sensitivity.
The Klipsch Image S4A is now available for $100 and ships with a number of different-sized buds, a clip and a carrying case.
