New details have emerged regarding an upcoming phone with a huge screen. Of course, considering that almost every Android-running premium phone these days rock a screen that stretches four inches and up, we should be used to “huge” screens by now. But this is different. According to a new leak, this phone, the i9220, has a 5.29-inch AMOLED Plus display with a 1280 x 720 resolution.
The rest of the phone’s other leaked details include a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, DLNA support, and 2.3.3 Android Gingerbread OS.
Earlier rumors based on a leaked roadmap point to another device called the i9210 headed for carriers in other markets. It’s unknown if the i9210 is the same phone for a different region or an entirely different model with a 4.5-inch display.
The source also mentioned that the i9220 could be introduced by the end of October, possibly the 24th.
