Well, so much for the teaser-based suspense. T-Mobile has officially unveiled the myTouch 4G Slide, which pretty much confirms everything that’s been covered on the leaks. And More. True the rumors, the phone will run on a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and Android 2.3 with HTC’s Sense UI on top… and then topped off some more by a handful of T-Mobile apps.
The screen size wasn’t revealed, but the phone will be capable of 1080p video capture and playback and is highlighted by an integrated camera that looks pretty good on paper. The cam is listed to pack an eight-megapixel rear-illuminated sensor and f2.2 aperture for bright stills, “zero shutter lag” as well as software that adds an HDR mode, sweep panoramic stills, and continuous shooting.
The phone will support 21Mbps HSPA+ data, which should prove handy when using the Netflix app and T-Mobile TV apps for live streaming video on-the-go. The phone also features a “genius” button that enables a Dragon Dictation-based voice command feature that can be used to make calls, type and send messages and do searches without having to use your thumbs.
It’s listed to be available for $199.99 with a 2-year contract in July on T-Mobile’s site.
