Nokia gave out a launch date for the N9: it’s going to be out in Sweden first on September 23rd, from service provider 3. Probably not that much use for you if you’ve been waiting for this phone to come out (unless you’re in Sweden or happen to be in Sweden in late September), but at least you know when to start counting down since it’s sure to launch in other markets from this point. Pricing info still isn’t available, but it should be safe to expect this phone to come with a premium price tag. MeeGo-running smartphones with a 3.9 AMOLED screen protected by a nice, curved glass front, an 8MP Carl Zeiss camera, and Dolby Digital audio don’t come cheap. Actually, no one knows that for sure since this is Nokia’s first MeeGo phone, but yeah, the rest of the spec? Definitely not cheap. [via Electronista]
