They just released the Samsung-built Nexus S, but it looks like Google’s third-gen Nexus smartphone is going to be built by HTC again… if this recent leak turns out to be true. A photo of what was being called the “Nexus 3” was posted at TechHog, showing an all-touch phone with none of the typical front buttons below the screen designed by HTC.
The post was a little short on details, but the test phone features dual cams, supports for HSPA+ 3G and CDMA. It’s most likely just a test phone or prototype though, so network support still can’t be determined. The OS wasn’t shown, but if this is the next Nexus, then it’ll be the reference phone for Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich update due before the end of the year.
