Verizon finally confirmed their launch plans for the Windows Phone-based HTC Trophy, more than half a year after this dude became the first guy in the world to ever buy a WP7 phone (which also happens to be the HTC Trophy). Despite being a little dated, the HTC Trophy would be Verizon’s first WP7 phone, adding CDMA support to the phone’s existing GSM band for international roaming.
It’s still basically the same phone that was first launched back in October last year though. The HTC Trophy runs on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and features a 3.8-inch, 480 x 800 display, 16GB of storage, and a five-megapixel cam with 720p video recording capabilities.
The phone’s relatively cheaper than other incoming smartphones, costing $150 with a contract when in starts shipping on June 2.
