Samsung’s 11 inch Series 9 ultraslim notebook starts shipping Samsung Series 9 b

The ultraslim laptop market is getting pretty crowded, it seems. Lenovo has just officially introduced an ultraslim (but still ultra-business-like) ThinkPad X1, and now, the 11.6-inch version of Samsung’s awesome Series 9 laptop has started to ship to the US. Like the 13-inch version that’s already available, the 11.6-incher runs on Intel’s ULV 1.33GHz Core i3 processor, integrated HD 3000 graphics, and 2GBs of RAM.

Unfortunately, storage on this smaller version is also limited to a 64GB SSD that comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium, as well as RAM that can’t be expanded past the 2GB that it comes with. Probably not something you’d want if you’re shopping for performance, but such is the price of awesome design. (Seriously, it looks awesome.)

Admittedly, the Series 9 won’t blow you away with a top-notch spec, but if you just need a slim 11.6-inch Windows-running laptop that looks really good, this one sells for $1,169.
