According to the numbers, a lot of people are already rocking an iPad 2, with millions adding to that number each month. Which means that millions of users are already wondering why it hasn’t already been jailbroken. Well, here’s a bit of good news (maybe): it looks like the jailbreak tool for cracking this mother open could be released within the next couple of weeks, according to iPhone hacker p0sixninja in a video interview.

Now, if you own a sparkly new iPad 2, that’s not the definitive answer you’ve likely been waiting for, but hey, we’re just happy to know that someone’s working on it. Just take comfort knowing that it’s not, in fact, impossible to jailbreak the iPad 2 (and here’s proof of that), and that we should get the ability to install awesome non-Apple-approved apps soon… hopefully in a couple of weeks.
