LG showed off a new all-in-one PC at Computex called the V300 that looks like it was inspired by the iMac. LG took a few more steps forward with the display though, featuring a 23-inch 1080p screen with multitouch input and 3D capabilities when viewed through a pair of passive 3D glasses.
HP already said that they plan to launch the TouchPad sometime in June, but they still didn’t give out a definite date for their upcoming tablet. A QuickSpecs sheet – a document that HP usually gives to their business clients and resellers – was leaked to PreCentral, showing the usual specs and features, accessories, and other product info. Also shown in the document: a likely launch date. Just like their other QuickSpecs documents, this one comes with a release date printed at the bottom, and it’s set for June 12th. That’s in a couple of weeks. Still no official announcement, HP? That’s cutting it a little close.
The HTC phone known as the “Mazaa” just turned up again, this time from a couple of shots that was tweeted by known mobile leaker Eldar Murtazin. The phone’s details weren’t given out, so all we know right now is that the phone is set up to be an upgraded HTC Trophy that features a 3.8-inch, 480 x 800-resolution touchscreen, a Windows Phone OS, and a confirmed 12-megapixel camera, shown in these posted images.
Asus unveiled two more ultraslim notebooks at Computex 2011, giving you two more Windows-powered alternatives to Apple’s iconic MacBook Air. Like Apple’s ultraslim, the UX21 is also designed with an all-aluminum body and a glass trackpad, but this one’s listed to be thinner at 0.67 inches. Inside that slim, brushed aluminum frame is an Intel Core platform for running Windows 7, with options that run up to a Core i7 CPU for performance.
Thanks to a leak that spilled the beans on Asus’ Padfone device earlier, it’s not much of a surprise anymore. But hey, at least now it’s official. Asus has introduced the Padfone, the hybrid device that they’ve been teasing since last week, at Computex. It’s basically a 4.3-inch smartphone that slots into a 10.1-inch display, which the phone uses along with built-in speakers and a bigger battery pack, to give you a complete Android tablet experience.
