Apple just put out their first TV ad for the iPad 2, called “We Believe.” It’s different for a number of reasons, with the first being… well, it’s a bit delayed. We’re almost a month in since the initial launch in the US, but this is actually the first TV ad for it. Of course it could still be considered something new to a lot of people who still can’t seem to pick one up from a convenient store shelf. Secondly, it just looks different. Certainly a break from Apple’s classic gadget-on-white-background recipe. This one’s a bit more artsy, where you won’t even see the whole thing until the end of the video. Again, it’s not like it’s all a big mystery; people already know what this thing’s all about. So what’s up with the “We Believe” schtick? Basically, the ad says that Apple believes that it’s not all about specs and technology. Whatever. Judging by the way they’ve been flying off store shelves before they even open, we believe that the hype surrounding the iPad 2 is so high that this 30-second ad is totally unnecessary, which makes us believe that they just made the clip just for the hell of it. We also believe that you’ll check it out anyway, whatever we or Apple believe in. Video after the break.
