The still-unannounced (but heavily rumored) HTC Pyramid just turned up in live photos again. Thankfully, the new set of leaked photos sent to XDA-Developers are relatively clearer than the ones from an earlier report. They also show a number of different angles (hey, that’s the front!), including a shot of the system details and one of the phone without the cover. More importantly, the leak confirmed a number of the phone’s specs.
According to the photos, the HTC Pyramid, which is expected to be launched as a flagship product, will rock a dual core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) screen, an 8MP main camera at the back, and a VGA front-facing cam above the screen. It’s also been noted that the specs are pretty similar to HTC Evo 3D that’s due out on Sprint in the summer, but of course, without the 3D part.
Interestingly, the shot of the software information screen shows that the HTC Pyramid (or at least this particular unit) is running on Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread along with HTC’s Sense 3.0 UI. So what happened to the leak that said that this phone will be running on Android 3.0? The number might have been mixed up. That report came from China after all, and the Sense “3.0” number could have been confused as the Android version.
Still no word on the launch date though. It wasn’t mentioned at CTIA, but based on a previous leak, this phone’s headed for T-Mobile in late spring.
