Samsung 4G phone to arrive on Verizon as the Droid Charge, spotted rocking a “robotic red eye” Samsung Droid charge

A product photo of a Samsung-branded 4G phone clearly marked with Verizon’s badge leaked out recently, showing what should be known as the Droid Charge when the carrier releases it in early April. The specs aren’t that much different from existing high-end Android phones, but what makes the shot interesting is that robotic red eye image showing on its screen. The red robo eye was previously used only on Motorola’s high-end Droid devices, so this could be the first non-Moto phone to get the “red eye” treatment.

The specs for the Droid Charge (previously known as the “Stealth-V” and is labeled as the SCH-i510) are pretty similar to Samsung’s own Galaxy S. It runs on a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and features an 8MP main cam, but rocks a larger 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen and 4G LTE support.

It’s expected to be launched on April 7 on Verizon, but the price is still unknown. [via PocketNow]
