The Xperia Play will be officially unveiled on February 13th

If you didn’t catch Sony Ericsson’s rather unsettling Super Bowl ad for the Xperia Play (showing the Android mascot stitched with human hands), then you can watch it after the break. But if you want to know more, then you’re going to have to wait for the weekend. Sony Ericsson just put up this poster on their FaceBook page, saying that they’ll be officially announcing the Android-powered, PlayStation-certified Xperia Play smartphone on February 13th, which is a day before everyone else gets to unveil whatever they’re up to at the Mobile World Congress. Regarding what to expect from the official announcement, there’s not much info that hasn’t been released (or leaked out) already so we’re basically just itching to get a launch date and price for the thing.
