9to5Mac managed to get an iPad 2 LCD from China. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come encased inside the iPad 2’s frame, but at least a few details can be pulled from the post. It’s still the same size at 9.7 inches, but the resolution can’t be determined at the time of posting (apparently, they haven’t put the thing under a microscope yet), so the question of whether it’s going to be a Retina Display is still up in the air. It’s been noted that the new screen has a better build quality though, with a lighter weight and a millimeter thinner than the original iPad’s screen. The iPad 2’s due to be introduced within the next couple of months, so it shouldn’t be long before we get more leaks and information regarding the next “iScreen.”
