Sony Ericsson phone with 16MP cam turns up at FCC
Mobile Phones - Tuesday, December 21st, 2010
Apparently, the Playstation phone (otherwise known as the Xperia Play) isn’t the only premium phone up Sony Ericsson’s sleeve. A new SE-branded handset has been spotted while being tested at the FCC. It looks like they’re pulling all the photography stops on this one too. Labeled as the Cyber-shot S006, the device is going to be the first to rock Sony’s Exmor R sensor for quality photos, and will feature a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.3-inch touchscreen, Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a waterproof shell.
A North American release date isn’t known yet, but the phone is expected to appear first via Japan’s KDDI network next year in gold, pink and blue colors. [via Phone Arena]
