Remember the story last week where a Droid 2 reportedly blew up in a dude’s face? Evidently, the whole thing wasn’t entirely true. After investigating the ‘killer phone,’ Motorola deduced that the phone was dropped and the screen cracked, which explains how the phone cut up the side of the user’s face. The giveaway? First of all, the phone was still operational. If it did explode as reported, components should have blown up and there should have some signs of burnt components (there were none). There’s no word if user Aron Embry took legal action against Motorola, but we’re pretty sure we won’t be hearing from him anymore. Because something did blow up in his face, but it most certainly wasn’t the phone.
