If you’re a hardcore gamer and you happen to own an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, then you’re probably a little bit tired of the puzzle games, suicidal birds, mutated plants and vegetarian zombies that’s being offered on the App Store. You’re going to be happy about this: Epic Games just released Infinity Blade at the App Store, giving you an awesome 3D hack-and-slash role-playing romp through medieval monsters and big bosses (who also happen to be monsters). The $5.99 game uses swiping motions to get you through the battle, with a multiplayer mode that you can enable through Game Center so you can get your swipes in with your buddies. As far as gameplay goes, you probably know the routine: kill monsters, get experience and better equipment, which allows you to kill more powerful monsters for more experience and equipment. Pretty simple, but it’s worked for decades. It’s currently the top-rated paid app on iTunes, so yeah, the old gaming mechanic still works.
