Now available: unlocked Palm Pre 2, featuring WebOS 2.0 Palm Pre 2 aHP has just started offering the Palm Pre 2, which gives us a modernized sequel to the original Pre as well as a good first look at the new WebOS 2.0 operating system that debuts with the phone. The design is a little bit edgier, and the specs are nicely updated to stay competitive with what’s currently available: the Palm Pre 2 packs a faster 1GHz processor that’s twice the speed of its predecessor, a better 5MP cam with LED flash, plus a 3.1-inch multi-touch screen that’s protected by Gorilla Glass, the same sturdy, scratch-resistant glass cover that protects the iPhone 4’s screen.

The phone comes preinstalled with Quickoffice Connect that’ll let you view Microsoft Office files.
