Did you think that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab was a wee bit too pricey compared to the iPad? You don’t need the 3G connection? We know we did. Well, here’s news for us all: Best Buy will be selling the 7-inch Galaxy Tab soon, and they’re adding a cheaper, non-3G, Wi-fi-only model to the mix so we can all shut up now.
Best Buy has just put up ads that show a silver Wi-fi model starting at $499.99, along with the expected Sprint and Verizon versions set to sell next month. Other than that, the Wi-fi version is still expected to carry everything except the 3G connection, including the dual cams, Android 2.2 OS, and up to 32GBs of internal memory at a price that puts it squarely up against the similarly-priced Wi-fi-only iPad.
If you still want to go with the 3G-enabled versions they’ll be selling for $599 with a contract. Sprint will be putting it up on sale on November 11, while all-black Verizon model will be shipping earlier on November 11. The Wi-fi model didn’t get an exact launch date, but they should go on sale within November as well. [Via Pocketables]
