Razer outs special edition Naga mouse with new graphics and lights, old confusing keypad Razer naga special editioin

Razer just released a pair of special edition Naga mice that basically adds a new look with themed graphics and lights to the original plain Naga that features a not-so-plain keypad along the thumbrest. If you were wondering what that’s for, the extra heap of buttons—17 in all—allow you to map, organize and enable different key binds and macros for quick access with your thumb.

It’s supposed to come in pretty handy for MMO gaming (which this mouse was specifically designed for), never mind if blindly finding a specific button (among the 17) with your thumb while you’re in the thick of things doesn’t sound like a particularly easy thing to do.

The two new special edition mice includes the Razer Naga Maelstrom Special Edition that comes with a blue, stormy-looking graphic and blue backlighting, while the Naga Molten Special Edition features a fiery red theme and matching lights. Aside from the lights and graphics, it’s still the same Naga mouse that features Razer’s 5600dpi 3.5G Laser Sensor, 1000 Hertz Ultrapolling, and Ultraslick mouse feet.

The Naga Special Edition mice will cost the same as the original $80 Naga when they ship in November. The Naga also supports custom interface AddOns for specific MMO games such as World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, and City of Heroes are available
