Motorola’s Droid Pro packs CDMA/GSM chip, will work anywhere Motorola Droid ProVerizon just unveiled a new Android smartphone called the Droid Pro. Designed for business—specifically, business that involves a lot of travel—the Droid Pro features a 3.1-inch touchscreen and a messenger-styled QWERTY keypad under a non-sliding, monoblock form factor.

The CDMA/GSM chip is what makes it so travel-friendly, giving it voice and data connectivity in more than 200 countries. The complete list of countries isn’t available, but with support for both GSM and CDMA networks, it should be safe to say that it’ll work wherever you need it to. Like the Droid 2, the Droid Pro also packs a 1GHz processor and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, although video recording is limited to standard-def quality. The software’s up-to-date though: it runs on Android 2.2 and will offer support for Exchange e-mail as well and security features that’s good enough for keeping your data safe.

Pricing isn’t available yet, but Verizon should be serving them up within the next few weeks.
