LG gives details for Optimus One, Optimus Chic Android phones LG Optimus One Chic

While LG has already announced their plans to come out with a new Optimus line of Android smartphones a couple of months ago, they didn’t reveal much details so no one knew what to make of them at the time. LG broke the silence today and gave out the specs for the Optimus One and Optimus Chic. The skinny: they’re not the most high-end smarties, but they should be affordable compared to other phones running on Android 2.2.

The Chic (shown above, on the right) comes with a more upscale feature set, with DLNA network media sharing and wireless sync capabilities, a 5MP cam, SD card storage, and a, um, “chic tasteful design.”

The Optimus One is meant to sell as an entry-level phone for a wide market (it’s planned to launch in over 90 countries) that packs a basic 3MP cam that handles 640 x 480, 18fps video recording. It comes preinstalled with an App Advisor that gives you regular app updates and recommendations, as well as the usual Google app pack that includes Mail, Search and Maps.

Both phones will feature 3.2-inch, 480 x 320 touchscreens, 600MHz processors, and the usual connectivity features (7.2Mbps 3G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS).

Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but the Optimus One is set to debut in Europe in October, while the Chic is due out in November.
