Seriously, the marketing guys over at LaCie seem like a fun bunch. Not that we’re surprised… they did call their other USB keys the CooKey and WhizKey after all. So now, we have this tiny new thing called the MosKeyto. Tiny is probably an understatement; the MosKeyto has got to be one of the smallest USB drives available right now—at least the smallest we’ve seen without featuring a flat, chip-on-board interface that really doesn’t work with that well with older USB ports.
Anyway, despite the size, the MosKeyto still manages to pack a significant amount of storage, with capacities that top out at 16GBs. That’s pretty much all you need to know. The body—which was probably designed to be more than a handle so you can still pull it out of the USB port—is listed to stick out only 6mm from the port when plugged in.
LaCie also offers an extra 4GB of online storage from Wuala, and a key ring strap so you don’t lose it or the cap.
It’s out now, costing $18 for 4GBs and $28 for the 8GB version. A 16GB model’s “coming soon.”
