Smartfish’s $50 ErgoMotion mouse is better than your mouse Smartfish Ergomotion mouse1

Smartfish’s ErgoMotion Laser Mouse looks simple enough—no extra buttons, no sensitivity toggles, no cutting-edge graphics, lights or proprietary sensor tech here, but apparently, it’s still better than whatever you’re using. Yes, even that high-end gaming number you just plopped $99.99 for. Apparently, despite the ergonomics built into high-end performance mice these days, it’s still not good enough, because it still locks your wrist into a static position.

So here’s Smartfish’s solution: a mouse that sits on a pivoting base that allows your wrist to move naturally, as shown below. It’s also designed to be ambidextrous for both right-handed and lefty use.

Not sure how this affects everyday productivity or if it can give you the accuracy you need for pinpoint graphics creation or gaming, but it’s probably a good idea if you’re experiencing back, shoulder, and wrist problems after a few hours at your desk. Just prepare to feel a little burning sensation in your pocket because this mouse-on-a-moving-pedestal ain’t as cheap as your average arrow-mover.

It’s out now for $50, and ships within 24 hours from Smartfish’s site or Amazon.
