The Nokia N9 has been a mystery ever since photos of its aluminum-clad, MacBook-looking mug leaked out from China, but a new leak gives us a better picture of what the MeeGo phone’s going to pack under the hood.

According to this translated Chinese forum thread, the N9’s going to rock a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with a wide 1280 x 720 resolution, and a cam that’s capable of 720p/30fps HD video recording. he innards are similarly packed with high-end stuff, with a  innards that include a 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor running the show. 512MBs of memory, and up to 64GBs of internal storage round up the spec.

Of course, without a source listed, the forum post could just be a fan simply putting together a wish-list, so take it with a grain of salt. If it does add up to an actual N9, we could be seeing a really nice powerhouse that could put Nokia back into the thick of the smartphone battlegrounds. Everything isn’t about the spec though. The jury’s still out on the new MeeGo interface, and if it can draw people away from their iPhones, Androids and BlackBerrys.
