A new leak gives a little bit of info about the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s specs, and it looks like it’s going to be a bigger version of the Galaxy S phone. Of course, everyone said that the iPad was just an oversized iPod touch too, so that might not be so bad. But stretched to seven inches, those mobile phone specs might not prove to be such a hot idea.
According to the info leak, the Galaxy Tab packs the same 1GHz ARM11 processor found on the Galaxy S phone, but the it’ll also feature the same 800 x 480 screen resolution (stretched to seven inches), and a weaker 3.2-megapixel cam. It probably won’t please Android fans looking for a well-specced iPad alternative, but the conservative spec could help bring down the price to a very competitive level.
The Galaxy Tab could make a debut at IFA in September.
