Logitech’s new G510 keyboard lights up in pretty colors. Logitech G510 bDon’t let the “pretty” description fool you. The Logitech G510 is seriously awesome if you’re into high-end gaming peripherals (otherwise, it’s just a seriously expensive $120 keyboard to use for blogging and typing and stuff). It’s got the gaming features that we should all be familiar with by now, with 18 programmable keys that can be set do key combos, media buttons for volume control and multimedia playback, and a GamePanel LCD that gives you live info (like game stats, system data or notifications). The backlit keys are pretty slick too, but we mainly like the custom lighting because the default blue glow on our keyboard is beginning to look boring.

The G510 also sports a number of connectivity ports so you don’t have to go far to plug in a mouse or headset, with a full-speed USB port and integrated audio output. To round out the package, the feature set also includes some of Logitech’s most recent good ideas: multi-key input that recognizes up to 5 key presses at the same time, and a really handy game/desktop button that disables the Windows and Context menu keys while gaming.

Now available, the $120 G510 works on both Macs and PCs.
