Logitech’s new Rechargeable Speaker dock comes with its own batteries Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S715i 02

Logitech just announced a new portable Made for iPod/ iPhone speaker-dock called the Rechargeable Speaker S715i. The name pretty much speaks for itself—it’s basically a speaker dock that comes with its own batteries for blasting music from your iDevice without having to be tied down to a wall socket.

The speaker’s slim frame holds enough space for a pair of 3-inch drivers, two half-inch tweeters, and four 2-inch passive radiators to give off a full range of sound, while the integrated battery pack’s good for up to 8 hours of playtime. It’ll charge your iThings with its own battery too, so you can leave your bulky battery packs at home if you can make enough room to pack a battery-powered speaker kit.

Bundled with its own remote and travel case, the S715i is listed to support just about any Apple portable with a dock connector, but also supports any other standard audio source from mobile phones to laptops with a 3.5mm auxiliary jack. It’s currently up for preorders, but should be released within the month in Europe and the US for $150.
