There’s a report over at iLounge that gives off details for Apple’s expected iPod launch for September that includes three new iPods. We can’t be sure of the accuracy since it could all be just a rumor, but we do know that Apple is due for an iPod refresh very soon.
The new iPod models are said to include three new models, highlighted by the new iPod touch that could be rocking a FaceTime-supporting cam. The other two includes a new iPod nano, and what could be an all-new iPod shuffle that comes with this tiny touchscreen. No word on the classic though, which might mean the end of the line for the original clickwheel-and-large-drive-packing player.
The leak doesn’t end with the iPods though. The report also describes a new 7-inch iPad that could be due for an early 2011 launch, and a new iPhone that could arrive as soon as early next year. It’s not expected to be a big upgrade though—the quick refresh would most likely pack the same iPhone 4 innards into a case with a better shell and antenna design (and we doubt that they’ll be calling it the ‘5′). Apple is also reportedly working on new iPhone 4 bumpers that use cheaper materials that they’ll be giving away for free after the current free case program ends in September.
