Microsoft adds a new twist to the Xbox 360’s wireless controller Xbox 360 new wireless gamepad

Literally, a new twist. It’s pretty much the same wireless controller, but with a D-pad that can be twisted to take the shape of a defined “plus,” and twisted back to give you the typical disc. Apparently, some people miss the classic plus shape that you’d normally see on Nintendos, although it seems strange that they’d even bother reworking it since players are more likely to use the left stick—not the D-pad—to move around games anyway. Oh, and they also redid the colors, dropping the red/green/blue/yellow colors on the ABXY buttons and painted them in different shades of gray. Nice touch, although the lack of colors could confuse newer players who still tend to look down at the controls. Video that demos the twisty button action after the break.

We’re not saying that Microsoft’s Zune wasn’t “worthy,” but in terms of available apps you can you’d want to run, the GoGear Connect’s link to the Android Market is a very good thing.

Olympus’ black E P2 just got blacker with new all black kits Olympus Black E P2

Before anything else, let’s establish something: the retro-styled Olympus E-P2 that was first launched late last year already came in black, but the accessories usually came in silver. Let’s just say that the color combo just didn’t work, and it certainly spoiled the E-P2’s old school style. In case that was all that prevented you from picking up this Micro Four-Thirds cam—an awesome snapper to pack if you’re into more than just pointing-and-shooting, by the way—Olympus just announced a couple of all-black kits for the E-P2, which basically packs the cam along with matching black accessories.
