Oh snap! Now Moto jabs at Apple’s iPhone 4 bumpers Droidx no jackets thWe all thought this was over after Apple took hits from just about every other big mobile brand then hit back with a demo page that shows that every one else has an antenna problem. Since Apple can’t change the way the iPhone 4 was designed, they then came out with the free bumper case program that hands out a free case to iPhone 4 owners as a solution. Apparently, “the solution” can still be tweaked to Motorola’s favor: they came out with a new ad (full image after the break) that shows the Droid X following a casual “no jacket required” dress code. Clever.

At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That’s why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it’s just one of those things that comes as a given when you’ve been making mobile phones for over 30 years.

Apple’s antenna performance page most recently showed that the Droid X suffered from death grip too. Never mind that no one else can replicate the experiment though, at least not naturally. Unless you have Andre the Giant-sized mitts. Realistically, the 4-inch Droid X’s size alone makes it difficult to choke the signal out if you’re not trying to do it on purpose.
