The weekend link-a-thon: our favorite YouTube salesman is back with… something that glows
The Net - Sunday, July 25th, 2010
- YouTube: Remember this guy? Well, he’s back with a new iPad guitar-slash-DJ mount called the Hammerhead Axepad. If you ever needed a guitar-like iPad mount that glows, DJ Franz K is your guy. Also, when this guy makes a pitch, you just have to watch.
- Blastr: The members of the Westboro Baptist Church are protesting everything these days. Gays, killed soldiers, Tim Russert… this time, they picked on the geeks at Comic-Con for reading comics instead of the Bible.
- NineMSN: You don’t mess with costumed geeks and get away with it. The geeks strike back, with “lurid costumes and mocking chants.” Oh, and funny signs.
- Redmond Pie: The new all-in-one “Spirit-like” jailbreak for all iDevices was almost released this weekend. Apparently, a few kinks needs to be worked out, but it looks pretty close.
- JudasPhone: A running compilation of funny Antennagate-related images. In case you’re still waiting for the free case and need a few laughs.
- Planet5D: A bunch of guys, an RV, a Canon 5D Mark II, more than 2,000 still photos, 14 days, and, um, America. What do you get? This awesome 2-minute stop-motion video of a guy walking across America. If you had time to watch only five YouTube videos this week, make sure to add this in your list. Awesome video (plus the behind-the-scenes clip) available after the break.
