Remember Allerta’s inPulse smartwatch, the BlackBerry-connected watch that was first announced last October and was supposed to be out by February? Well it appears that the watch just might actually see a launch soon. No, they didn’t really announce a final ship date, but this tumblr post did mention that “lots of boxes have arrived” and they’ll be working on final assembly and testing, so we’re pegging it as coming soon.
The inPulse is basically a watch that connects to your BlackBerry and offers hands-free operation to view messages, check incoming call IDs and manage alarms without having to take the phone out of your pocket. Unlike full-featured watch-phones, you can’t make any calls without a connected phone, but it should still prove handy as an accessory for BlackBerry owners.
