If you were wondering if there was any truth behind Apple’s claim that even BlackBerrys suffer from Death Grip, or you’re a fan who wants to support the BB community and get behind RIM’s reaction, well, here’s an app for you. Called the Antenna Meter App from Xtreme Labs, this free app does exactly that: it constantly auto samples your BlackBerry’s signal strength once every second, letting you check, monitor or experiment signal-related issues. Like if you’re holding your phone right.
Now, if you ever stumble upon a significant signal change when you hold the phone a certain way, you might want to help out the community by sending your results along with every one else’s. Probably not the most useful or entertaining app there is, but it’s still better than having an app with a button that does nothing but simulate a blaring vuvuzela.
