While hundreds of clock-docks currently exist for Apple’s different iPhones and iPods, iHome just launched one of the first to support the iPad with the iA100. Aside from serving as a basic charging dock with an attached alarm clock, this kit also features Bluetooth connectivity, an FM radio, plus supports a multifunctional iHome+Sleep app that gives a whole lot of info within reach of your bedside table.
The free app (from iTunes; for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad) offers custom alarms, sleep stats (sleep stats!), social media alerts, weather and overnight news aside from the basic clock-and-alarm functions. The iA100 also packs a Bongiovi Digital Power Station that performs real-time digital signal processing to enhance the quality of your compressed MP3 tunes, plus a Reson8 speaker chamber for sound quality that’s better than your average clock-radio. As for the Bluetooth connection, it works with a button that syncs the onboard clock with your iPhone to ensure that the time’s always spot-on.
The rest of the iA100ZE’s features include 10 radio presets, adjustable equalizers settings, programmable snooze and alarm times, custom alarm sounds, and support for iPhones and iPods aside from the iPad for the people who own iEverything.
